Paperwhite 3 restarting occasionally?

So my PW3 (G090) is jailbreaked on firmware 5.8.7 with installed KUAL, MRPI, FW 5.3.x - 5.7.x Fonts Hack and Koreader. I've installed also Screensaver Hack but uninstalled it recently. I'm reading every day and with time device is becoming slower and slower in response ( for example when I select some word to see it in dictionary it starts to take more time until dictionary actually appeared on the screen) and in the end (approximately once a week) it restarts by itself. After restart it works fine and with time go on it gets slower again, restarts and so on.
Does anyone experianced the same or know what could be the problem and how to fix it?

If you haven't reset your Paperwhite 3 to factory settings I would. Go to Settings, Device Options, and Reset. I do this about once a year just for the heck of it. It does erase books on your device and you have to download the books you want again but if you have updated the firmware you keep the one you have.

I have two Paperwhite 3 Kindles, my favorite Kindle, and so far I've had no problem.

If the reset doesn't do it, I'd contact Kindle Support.

Yes, I often have the same problem, and a factory reset didn't help. My device isn't jailbroken. I use the dictionary function a lot (My PW3 is used almost exclusively to read books in Japanese, which I'm still learning) and after searching on this forum I read that it might be due to that, but don't take that as granted.

The OP said the device had the jailbreak. At this time, one does not want to factory reset a jailbroken kindle if they wish to keep the jailbreak.

Now to the OP, put it on a wall charger for 24 hours or longer.
Then restart it by holding the power button for about 40 seconds.

Then probably this really could be the problem. I'm also using reading for learning and use dictionary on probably on every page and not only once.

The device has two file system areas that keep user data.

One you can see over the USB cable.

One you can not see.
This second one is of relatively small storage capacity.
It is possible that your use pattern(s) is exceeding that storage capacity.
That will force the system to restart, just to 'clean itself up'.

Much better than in the K4 days, when the device would just "brick".
