Cannot add books to collections after 5.8.9.2

After the last update to 5.8.9.2 in my jailbroken PW3 I cannot add books to collections. I tick the collection I want the book to belong press done and get stuck there. Side arrow seems to work but the up arrow does not take me to my library.It is stuck in Collections. I have KUAL installed but don't use i. I erased the CM app that I once loaded thinking it could do something. In order to make everything work I have to restart the device. Any clue what might be happening?

Can you add that book to a collection with your account web-page interface?

Do you have an Internet connection when you try to change the collection?

Did you have the device jail broken prior to the update to 5.8.9.2?

I didn't have any collections in the web. So I created one add a book and sync the device. Stuck in collections, sync and no new collection. Restart the device and there it is the new web created collection.
I tried with internet connection and in plane mode and the same result
My device has been jailbroken for quite a while now.

From the reports I have read, Amazon/Lab126 has been having problems getting their Device <-> Cloud system working.

They seem to be trying to make it 'transparent' without much luck (yet).
If it was working as Amazon intended, you shouldn't have to 'sync' it (it would check itself for you).
And even if that did not happen, a 'sync' operation manually trigger should do the job.
You certainly should not have to restart the device to make the collection to appear.

Let me see if I have this correct now -
Locally, on Kindle, assign a book to a new collection :: Problems

Remotely, on "Manage Device and Collections", do the same thing :: No Problems, other than having to restart the device to get it to sync with the new cloud-side information.

PS: CM has been updated for 5.8.9 but not (yet) for 5.8.9.2
If you might want to use it again, I suggest that you subscribe to the CM thread, then you will get e-mailed the posts, including update announcements.

You have it almost correct. Before "Remotely,..." you should add: if I got stuck with problems as in the above paragraph then....

If I don't try to add books to collections, meaning no problems in the device, then it works as Amazon intends: add in the web and seamlessly sync to Kindle device.

@victorkr: Try a diags downgrade to something like 5.7.4. This is more safer coz you can do a factory downgrade even if you mess up with main os and want to jb. Check it out here!

Beware! Losing JB and staying on 5.8.9.2 can result in a loss for you!
