Naming epub file

Is there a setting to change the naming format when converting to (or adding) an ePub file. As a default, when I add the .pdf called Dream Home.pdf, the file saved in Calibre is named "Dream Home - Jonathan Scott.pdf" with the author's name included in the file name. I'd like to remove the author name to have the file that I convert it to automatically named "Dream Home.epub". Is this possible to change. I couldn't find a setting for this.

Do not fiddle with the internals of the calibre folders. If you want to get an ePub named a certain way, look at the export options.

+1

How calibre stores its files is calibre's business and not open to any user control.

You should only be concerned with the filenames produced when ebooks are "exported" from cailbre using either Send to Disk or Send to Device. There are templates that calibre uses for creating the filenames of exported files. These use data in calibre's library database and ignore the book's internal filename and folder name. You can edit these templates in Preferences.
