Free (Kindle) Fast-Draw Law by Chuck Mason [Wanted Gunslinger Second Chance Western]

Fast-Draw Law by Chuck Mason, a pseudonym for British author Donald S. Rowland (ISFDB, SFE), is his vintage standalone historical western action adventure novel, this one another second chance outlaw tale (sometimes I start to think they group their offerings thematically ), starring a lethal gunman of relative decency who took out baddies but never resorted to murder, attempting to right the wrongs in a local area by helping out a troubled girl who reminds him of his own tragic past, with the law after him for his earlier deeds, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press' Pioneering imprint.

This was originally published in 1974 by Northumberland Press.

Currently free @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK and pretty much everywhere else Amazon sells worldwide, since this is being done via their KDP Select exclusive-or-else program)

Description
The law will always catch up with you…

Lobo Johnson was a gunman with a price on his head. He was a killer, but he drew the line at murder.

His victims were violent men, murderers and renegades.

He had been set upon his present path by the tragic circumstances that engulfed his youth, and he carved a lonely trail through the West.

But with a history like his, the law wanted Lobo as much as they wanted the men he slew.

Just when he thought things couldn’t get any worse, everything changes when he rides into Deer Creek in Kansas. As soon as he meets Beth Anders, he forgets his golden rule in a desperate attempt to save a girl in trouble.

But Beth’s troubles are all too reminiscent of Lobo’s own tragic past and it’s not long before things hit a bit too close to home.

Can Lobo put right the wrongs in Deer Creek, without putting himself in the hands of the hangman?

Or will his first attempt to do the right thing ultimately backfire and do more harm than good?

Will Lobo remain true to the Fast-Draw Law, or will he meet a tragic end?
