Memory consumption too low ?
I'm new to Calibre and I praise all developpers for a very good product.
When importing or searching for a lot of books, I've noticed memory consumption remains very low (350-max 700 MB) although my windows configuration is 32 GB. To increase performance, is it possible to make Calibre use more memory when capacity allows it (eg : Lightroom uses 8 to 10 Gb when processing photo in my computer). |

Certainly by keeping files in memory performance could be improved, but, IMO, it is not really worth it. If you want to speed up adding, you can get most of the benefit by simply putting the calibre TEMP directory on a ramdisk, via an environment variable, see https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/cus...ment-variables
