TXT to EPUB - Search and Replace Help Needed

I want to wrap all URL’s in a text file in HTML <a href> tags.

I did it manually to the attached ePub (output of TXT->EPUB conversion) using the calibre editor, but I’d like to automate it in conversion.

In addition, is there some way, other than by using the Book Editor, to suppress the creation (or to remove) first html file in the ePub – the one before the file that starts Chapter 1.

If it makes a difference, then I don't mind converting them to Epubs first and then do another conversion for the S&R.

I hope someone has some inputs.

Not sure what you are asking for. What's preventing you from using the search and replace function in the conversion dialog?

As for removing the first file -- remove the ocrresponding content in the TXT file and it will not be created.

The only thing I'm now asking for is a way to delete all the following from every file before converting. I don't care if I have to do a double conversion or something like that.

The reason I would much prefer this to be deleted in conversion is that I have a lot of files to go through 20.000+ and that would be very tedious to do.

I'm sorry if I haven't explained myself well enough, didn't think you needed to know why I no longer needed to wrap some of the text in HTML.

I've discovered that I can import all the information via the Import List plugin. That gives me all the metadata I needed.

The only thing that's left is that I would really like a way to automatically delete all the text I've posted above in the conversion. It doesn't matter to me if I have to convert them from txt to something else first. Because it would still be much easier than having to delete that from 20.000+ books.

I hope someone has some ideas if this is possible.
