line spacing in coversion

The only thing I hate worse than spacing between paragraphs is line spacing more than 120%. Why on earth an author wants to use 200% line heights for their books is beyond me.

I know about the css rule changes, for conversion settings but haven't really figured out how to replace line heights. So far I just have it set to "remove line height more than 120%", since I am not sure how to do a "replace" line height.

I am not sure if this works or not since I only just now added it.

What I would really like is to be able to set up the conversion to automatically change the line height (if specified) to 115%, but the conversion settings for this only allow for a minimum line height, and the settings for a strict line height is listed in "pt" format, which I don't understand.

None of the CSS sheets use "pt" in line heights. I made the mistake of thinking that "pt" is the same as px or a division of the % so for a few attempts I had it set at 1.2 pt. (don't laugh). Obviously that didn't work.

The Calibre Manual suggested not using the stated line height since it would be the equivalent of a shotgun when a laser would do.

Is there someone who help me understand what it is that I should do to fix this? The goal is to have the conversion settings to have the line height if designated to be at what would be 115%

I am tired of opening up a book and realizing I can't read it because the formatting is not the way I like it. I read too many books to put up with formatting that goes against what I like. Since there isn't a feature in any plugin that detects books with line heights, let alone books that have line heights that are at at or above a specific number, I have to either open each book to edit, or just take my chances until I open it on my Kindle/Kobo. My only hope is to just have it taken care of in a conversion.
