Wicked Things by author Thomas Tessier (ISFDB, Wikipedia), a three-time recipient of the International Horror Guild Award, is his standalone supernatural horror thriller set in the obligatory dysfunctionally idyllic small town, where a man looking into series of murders in the apparently picture-perfect place discover terrible things going on of which the locals dare not speak, as you do, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press' Venture imprint.

This was originally published in 2007 by Dorchester's Leisure Books imprint. The full blurb says this was one of his wins for the International Horror Guild Award, presumably for the last year the award was in existence.
