Free (Kindle/Kobo/iTunes) Paris Lights [Australian Paris Travel Experience Romance]

Paris Lights by Australian author C. J. Duggan is the 1st novel in her Heart of the City series of f/m New Adult contemporary romance apparently featuring overseas travel encounters, this one starring a young Australian woman unceremoniously dumped by her boyfriend during what she thought would be a romantic Paris getaway, determined to have a good time anyway soaking up the local culture with a hastily-acquired day job washing restaurant dishes (the reasoning behind this seems dubious, TBH, but I guess it facilitates the Meet Cute?) whereupon she catches the eye of a high-powered tycoon in some kind of globe-trotting Cinderalla story, as you do, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Hachette's Hachette Australia imprint.

This was the featured Free Book of the Week in the iTunes UK store, and should probably still be free until they rotate these things sometime Tuesday-ish.

Currently free @ B&N & Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK & AU under the same differing ASIN) & iTunes (CA & UK with different product numbers) & Google Play (CA & UK) & Kobo & eBooks.com (available to Canadians). ETA: this was free in UK & Australia at the same product numbers in most of the stores when I spot-checked, but not EU/Japan/South America, though YMMV depending on where you are. Also, the author seems to offer a few self-published freebies available across various stores if you do a name-search.

Description
The first standalone book in CJ Duggan's HEART OF THE CITY series - a very sassy, super sexy New Adult romance from the internationally bestselling author of the SUMMER and PARADISE series.

'You're breaking up with me!'
He was silent.
'In Paris.'
Eyes dropping.
'Under the Eiffel-fucking-Tower!' I screamed.

Twenty-five-year-old Claire Shorten had looked forward to spending a romantic weekend in Paris for as long as she could remember, and now it was here - three blissful days of strolling through cobbled streets arm-in-arm with her beloved, eating copious amounts of baked goods and soaking up the culture through each and every pore of her body. Well, at least, that was how she'd pictured it . . .

Even after her boyfriend dumps her rather unceremoniously in the most romantic place on earth, Claire is determined not to give up on her dream altogether - with or without a boyfriend. She finds herself a job in the kitchen of a small hotel; Michelin-starred it most certainly is not, but somehow Claire makes a place for herself amidst the dirty dishes and the foreign misfits who run the place.

When the restaurant attracts the attention of the enigmatic - if not slightly terrifying - tycoon Louis Delarue, and Claire manages to survive his high-powered business luncheon from hell, she knows that she can survive anything, surely. But all bets are off when Louis makes a game-changing decision: he's coming back for a second course . . .

It's also free for Kobo in the US. It looks like I probably picked it up around May 10th, or 11th.

Huh. Looks like they used a different ASIN/product number for North America across most of the stores, even though it's the same imprint.

Aside from that, it also looks like it's free across North America, which is nice since Hachette offers are usually limited to the rest of the world if not UK-only, and for pointing it out.
