Screen protector for the Sony readers

Has anyone seen or used one of the Invisible Shield protective covers for anything? They make these skins and screen protectors for lots of cell phones, iPods, gaming devices, etc. They make a screen protector for the Sony readers and ebookwise, I believe.

They are supposedly made from plastic film that is "used by the military to protect the leading edge of helicopter blades" or some such. They have a lifetime warranty - if they ever scratch, they'll supposedly replace them.

Has anyone tried them?

I've got one for my Archos, but didn't bother with the Sony, as I felt that the screens not going to be generally unprotected, unlike a phone screen, or used as a touch screen.

I guess the screen doesn't get used as a touch screen, and I never carry my reader in a bag with anything else, so I probably don't need a protector. I was looking there for a skin for my phone and I was so excited to see they had something for the Sony reader. I really would like to have something to protect the body of the reader, though.

I use screen protectors on my iPaq and they work fine but hadn't thought I'd need one on my Sony since it isn't a touch screen

It's really not necessary, since it's not a touch screen, and hence is pretty tough.

I use the invisible shield on my ipod nano. It provides full body protection and works really well (no scratches or cracks).

I don't think the Sony Reader needs screen protection, but I am planning to purchase a skin-it to customize and protect the body from scratches.

does this invisibleSHIELD protector include protection for the whole chassis of the PRS 505 in addition to the screen just like the demonstration video of the iPOD?

nevermind, for $17.95, all you get is a screen protector.
For chassis protection, it would indicate "Full Body Coverage" instead.

I put this on my Blackberry Pearl when it was new, 2.5 years ago. Works great, hasn't peeled off, and the screen and body are fully protected. Would probably look brand new if I did peel it off! (I carry my Pearl in my pocket, no case or cover besides the skin.)

I got mine at a different site, Best Skins Ever. (Same material, cheaper prices!) They have a DIY piece for $7 (3.75"x9") that would fit the Reader screen just fine--and have enough left over for a phone or iPod screen. I'm pretty sure the Reader screen is about 3.6"wide, so a slight trim along the edge would be required, then cut the length. You can do this while it's on the paper backing to get the size right before applying.

Here's the site: Best Skins Ever

All these screen protectors are removable with a wooden toothpick or a long finger nail (or anything soft enough so the screen don't get scratched).
They don't left any trace behind (there is no adhesive).

if thats true, then of the 3 kinds of screen protectors I can recall of the top of my head, adhesive, lay on top (ie: G3 from http://www.pdascreenprotectors.com/ ), and statically charged adhesives (like some Christmas window peelable stickers) I'm guessing these are statically charged adhesives?
