I can't delete books from my Kindle.

Knowing me I could be the only person who has this problem.

I can't delete books from my Kindle seventh gen Paperwhite.

Whether directly from the Kindle or from the doc folder within the device.

In the second case a permanently deleted book will disappear from the docs folder but still can be read on the Kindle?????

Long press on the title you want to remove from device.
Make sure you are looking at device not all if you have removed something.
Now if you want to delete them from your account, you have to go to manage my content and devices on the Amazon website.

To possibly clarify the above, make sure the Home page says you are looking at books on the "DEVICE", not "ALL" which includes the books you own in the cloud.

Which is where the last sentence about deleting from one account, comes in.
