A sincronizing problem with Kobo Aura 1

I use Calibre 2.76 and Kobo Aura 1.

I have a custom column on Calibre (let's say "Bookcase") of type text, but with a fixed list of allowed values.

I'd like to syncronize that column with the "Collections" column on the KA1 library, so that, for every book, the Collections column lists the same value from the Bookcase column.

I can't find an obvious way to do that. Can you help me?

It doesn't work. New shelves are not created, no syncronization at all.

Well, it definitely does work here and for enough other people for me to think that there aren't any bugs in it. When people report it not working, it is almost always a configuration problem. And Terisa's suggestion is the most common thing missed.

If rechecking the configuration doesn't fix it, then I need to see a debug log. Restart calibre in debug mode (right-click on the preferences button and select "Restart in debug mode"), connect the device and let the device jobs run. When they are finished, close calibre and the debug log will be displayed. Post the all of the log for me to look at.

It works. My error was to put in the area for shelf info the name of the column heading instead of the lookup name.

After proper configuration it works like a charm.
