How to uninstall Calibre E-book Management?

Friends, I have a problem. A few days ago I found on my PC (Windows 8.1) desktop the icon for Calibre E-book Management software. I was surprised` cause I have no idea where did it come from. And I`ve never even heard of such name. It appeared after one of the Windows updates and a following restart of my PC. The problem is I can`t uninstall it. I tried to get rid of it with Change or Remove program, and it disappears, but after restarting the computer it comes back again with a couple of minutes lag comparing to the rest of desktop icons. I tried to use Revo Uninstaller free version but it comes back again after restart. Please, can help somebody. Thank you!

100% This is not normal Calibre behavior in any form.

Calibre does not even do Auto Updates. You have to launch each update.

I suspect that whatever you have on your computer, it isn't really calibre.

Does anyone else also use your computer?

I would do multiple standalone malware scans using several tools starting with Defender, MalwareBytes, and Trend Micro's Housecall - after that I would seek advise at somewhere like Bleeping Computer.

you might look at the registry RUN section, but AFAIK that only executes upon logon, which would not explain the delayed reinstall
+1 for Malware Infestation

Dear friends, thank you, very much, for your assistance and support. The problem is resolved! It was some kind of adware on my PC... not one but about five. So I am grateful to Malwarebytes, Zemana AntiMalware, HitmanPro, and AdwCleaner. They all found something, and delivered my computer from this infestation!
