Unable to setup, version is newer than desktop app
I had a Kobo Touch for 5 years, all is ok with it, just got an Aura One, tried to connect to the Kobo Desktop app to setup and I got this message:

You must have an old version of the application. It should check for an update when you start it. Have you done something to block that?

I don't even have Kobo Desktop installed. I use Calibre.

Which is great if you want to manage sideloaded books. But, if you want to manage the device or purchased books without using WiFi, you need the Kobo desktop application. It has it's uses.
