Difficult for close Caliobre
Hello,
I am on Windows 10, since the installation of the latest version of Caliber 2.76 I have great difficulty to close the application and most often it refuses to close without waiting to close the Caliber server, Have the message "Software does not respond". So I am obliged to close the app with the "task manager" of Windows 10! With the previous versions I had never encountered this type of problem! Is there a solution to this problem? Thank you I am French and I have some difficulties with English, sorry Last edited by jlechat34; 01-05-2017 at 12:55 PM. |

Was a device attached (USB or Calibre Companion)? That connection needs to end gracefully (device says I am done).
![]() You might check W10 Event Viewer It might be signaling a Hard Drive or other problem (which would delay the write) It also may be something else ![]() |

Hello,
Thanks for your answer, no nothing is plugged into USB and no hard drive problem. Calibre ended up stopping but it takes at least 1 minute. Good night |

Could be not enough RAM and it's dealing with the disk cache.
What are the specs of your computer system? |

If something has connected to the calibre content server then calibre can take at least a minute to close while it waits for the connecting device(s) to close the connection(s). That is why calibre is showing you the "waiting" message.
- What happens if you start calibre and then immediately stop it, without anything connecting to the content server? - What happens if you disable the content server then start and stop calibre? |

What happens if you stop the server manually via the Preferences->Sharing over the 'net->Stop Server button, before quitting calibre.
Do you have the Save Composite Custom Columns installed. It runs at shutdown. Do you have the Job Spy plugin installed. One of its options is to create temporary Reading Lists, which are removed at shutdown. There may be other options that perform similar actions at shutdown. If you have either or both of those PI's installed, try disabling them. And/or try running calibre with the --ignore-plugins option Added ![]() A minute is a minute is minute ![]() Moderator Notice And I moved the thread - it has nothing to do with devices BR Last edited by BetterRed; 01-05-2017 at 09:20 PM. |
