adding Indy bookstore's affiliate to my own kobo purchases
My local Indy bookstore is an affiliate with Kobo - I think that for them to get their commission on books that I buy through kobo.com I would need to install the kobo app initially from the link on their site. If I delete the app, and reinstall it from the link on the bookstore's website, will that work, or do you think that only works for those who also proceed to set up a "new" kobo account? I might clear my cache and then re-install the app now from the bookstore link, because that can't hurt, but I am wondering if there is a way to confirm that the affiliate code gets plugged into the app if I then sign in with my old kobo id.
-- UPDATE -- I tried re-installing the kobo store app from the bookstore's link, but in the desktop app when I click on my account icon, it goes to the Rakuten page (https://my.rakuten.co.jp). Ideas about how I can modify the files so everything is linked to the US store? And... bonus points to anyone who can also help make sure the app/store credits my local store's affiliate account. This is for an eBay purchase of Kobo Aura One from Japan. Thank you! Last edited by gphotomom; 01-04-2017 at 08:59 PM. |
