Battery usage monitor?

Forgive me if this has been asked before. I looked and Googled and did not see an answer. Is there any way of checking a Kindle battery usage like an iPhone?

The reason I ask is that I bought a refurbished Kindle Voyage from Amazon and I was just curious about the battery. Is it used? Half used? New? Or should I return the Refurbished Voyage and buy a new one since I read a lot?

I never even thought about this until I bought a refurbished iPhone from Amazon and when I received it today the battery was half used up! Not what I was expecting to say the least.

I just thought refurbished meant they put a new battery in it at least. Now I think it means they turn it on and if it works then it is good to go.

Just use it. I use a basic kindle from 2011 and the battery is still good.

I've been buying Kindles since 2009 when the Kindle Keyboard first came out. Nearly all my older Kindles are now being used by people I still talk with and none have had any serious battery problems yet. Or any other kind of problems. That's a pretty good record and I doubt it'll last much longer but that's how it is for now.

If you jailbreak it you can access the voltage value directly.
Anyhow cells are usually charged to 80% before packaging. Reveiving it with 50% may indicate that there is a problem but you have 30 days to test this.
Replacing a good battery makes little sense and increases the refurbishing costs so it may be an old on with some charging cycles.
