Requesting reinstatement of offline books -- What forum?

Is this the place to request offline books to be reinstated? If so, I would like to request the books of S.S. van Dine (1888-1939). Harry T. had posted these, and could we have them back please? (My storage drive that had those got injured, and I need them)

If this is not the spot, or if this is not the correct method for such request, please move me or let me know what I need to do.

The site owner took these offline because the US publisher complained, and he didn't want the legal hassle, even though they are in the life+70 public domain. So I'm afraid not.
