Please Help this computer dummy
I have just installed Calibre Portable. I have an existing Calibre Library on my old computer. I would like to copy the files from old computer and add them to Calibre portable without having to add them one at a time because I have many books. Could somebody please tell me how to do this step by step as I am not the smartest cookie in the jar when it comes to computers.
Thanks |

Please help this dummy
I am running windows 7 on my laptop. I have an existing Calibre Library. I have just installed Calibre portable on my external hard drive. Can someone please tell me step by step how to take my existing library and copy it to the Calibre portable library without having to do it one book at a time. I have a fairly extensive library and if I have to add them one at a time it will take me forever. On older versions of Calibre you could find the calibre library in documents and copy and paste the files into that file, then open Calibre and the books would be there. When I copy them into the calibre Library the files are there but when I open Calibre the books that I added do not show up. Please help I have spent way to much time trying to figure this out and am feeling like I am a complete idiot.
Thank you |

@Chuck Reid - Calibre Portable requires that libraries are contained within the Calibre Portable folders.
So copy the entire library folder from your old computer's Documents folder into the Calibre Portable folder on the external drive, so you have something like Code:
Calibre Portable Calibre Calibre Library Calibre Settings Chuck's Library calibre-portable.exe BR |
