Adding .zip files to calibre on Windows 10
I am trying to add some files that were originally compressed into zip files for easier download. I have unzipped them to a different folder on the computer, and tried to add them as usual.
However, the program loads the original .zip files with a prompt to "click here to open". When I click there, I see the unzipped file (usually .html format) in a pop-up window. How do I add the unzipped file to calibre so that I can convert to EPUB format for my Nook? Any suggestions would be welcome. |

As stated in the original message, the files are mainly html once unzipped.
BTW, I have tried to add the files singly and/or as a group. Still the same problem. |

Many device (ebook) viewers do not have problems with HTML inside a zip. They try for index.html first |

I think the zip file you are seeing in Calibre is not the original zip file, but a new one Calibre creates as a container for the html file. You should be able to convert the new zip to ePub in Calibre.

I wonder of the zip you downloaded is already an epub - which are zips. Try renaming 'whatever.zip' to 'whatever.epub' and opening it with the viewer?
