Wanted reader app for footnotes

I need an app that shows footnotes on the same page as I'm reading (instead of going to a separate page and then having to return). I spent most of yesterday trying many reader apps at the google store trying to find one. So far, Google Play Books is said to work, however I found that most of the books I tried to send to it failed (not sure why, only the ones without footnotes seemed to go through as readable). Perhaps I did something wrong. Moon+ Reader Pro does what I want, but the fonts are so terrible that I just can't stand to read with it. I currently use Bookari and like it's default font (Adobe RMSDK) a lot, but haven't been able to find it for download to Moon+

Anyway, surely after all this time and all these new apps, there is one that will work. I would most appreciate any help.

Have you tried gitden? I don't really have books with footnotes but perhaps it is right.

I've checked one and footnote opens inside a popup box.

I am using AlReader, it shows footnotes on the same page. It sometimes gets confused though, but mostly works.

Thanks so much, AlReader does show footnotes on the same page. I seem to have a problem with figures in it - it goes to the figure, but there doesn't seem to be a way to return to where I was reading. Am I missing something? If I could do that it would be exactly what I am looking for.

Found how to do it! I'm going to try this one out for a while and see how I like it.
