Reading Statistics?

Hello again,

i give KA1 a last chance and buy him again.
I Sync the Reader, and i saw, i dont sync all. From my Over 2000 Hours of my last Reader i have now 2,5 hours on new Reader.

Whats wrong with this Software.

Can u help me? i want all Statistics from my Kobo Glo on KA1.

i dont care about the way it works.

If is no way for my Problem, u can say any way i can save the statistics on other way? (plz say no pencil&Paper :P)

The reading stats only sync for books bought on Kobo's store, not for sideloaded books. You would need to copy the database from one device to the other, but I don't know if this is feasible with the new KA1.

i read the last 3 days 11 hours. this 2 books bought by kobo store. they are not in the reading stats.
U can explain?

If you download/export the books from the Kobo store and then sideload them to your Kobo, they are not considered as purchased. You need to synchronize your Kobo ereader (WiFi or Kobo desktop app) to get the ebooks if you want the synchronized statistics. For myself, I really don't care about the reading statistics so I'm not bothered by their existence or non-existence.

Also remember the 7523 firmware version for the KA1 had issues with the reading statistics which were mostly fixed in 7729.

i syncronised my KA1 for sure with Wlan AND Desktop app. He only show me 2 Hours.

i sync my old reader too with the app.

nothing happens.

And both books are buyed in Kobo Book Store.

Even when purchasing ebooks from Kobo, the real question is if you get the ebooks on your ereader by synchronizing either over WiFi or by using the Kobo desktop application or by downloading them to your computer and then sideloading them to your ereader? The former is what seems to be meant when an ebook is referred to as "Kobo purchased" while the latter is a sideloaded ebook no matter what the source.

If you want reading position to be synced across devices, you need to obtain the ebook by synchronizing not by sideloading.

Another question is what firmware version are you on at this time? As previously mentioned, there were issues in 4.0.7523 with the reading statistics, some of which were fixed in 4.1.7729.

Either through the app and sync to your ereader or over WiFi directly to your ereader. It sounds as if you are doing the latter which means the reading stats and reading position sync should be working when you have a WiFi connection. As I asked, which firmware version are you on?
