metadata not sending

HI - i need a little help please. I have been using calibre mobile for years. I have a samsung galaxy pro 8.4 all of a sudden, having updated and/or changed nothing, when I send books to my device, the metadata doesnt send with them - or more specifically, it is sending the number of pages, series, publisher, tags, author, title and cover, but not the summary or description of the book. I really really miss this and would like to fix it. anyone know what is wrong?

What application are you using to view the metadata on the device?

Not familiar with that one, I'm afraid. You'd have to ask their developers for help. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps it does not like HTML comments? Although, since calibre has always used HTML comments, I dont know why it would suddenly be a problem.
