Sleeve for Aura One (preferred: slim fit). Any recommendations?

Hi,

I don't like sleep covers etc., I want the device protected when not being used and as slim as possible when being used (so, without any cover).

Does anyone have recommendations for a slim-fit Aura One sleeve?

When not reading, I put my KA1 in a thin sleeve and then put this thin sleeve in an InCase sleeve. Double protedtion!

When your A1 is being used, you have a better chance of dropping it then you do when it's not in use. So you really should get a case for it. While you may not like a case, a case makes it easier to hold and a case gives more protection then without.

John, Those are not available for several weeks to a month.

I've decided to use a cover that was for my Sony PRS 950 which is a very good fit...at least until something I like becomes available.

In another thread, someone is using a modified case for an iPad Mini until third party cases become available.

I searched around for 'ipad mini sleeve' and eventually decided on a leather one from Amazon.com.

It's also available from AliExpress.com for a little cheaper (if you are willing to wait several weeks for shipment).

The sleeve is just the right width, and about 1.5 cm taller than the KA1. The inside is soft. I dislike the slanted rear pocket, but I figure I can cut it off if it really starts to bug me.

The flap closure is magnetic but doesn't activate the auto-sleep function of the KA1.

I really like that! How is your Aura A1 secured to the case?--I don't see any straps holding it in.

With duct tape.

Peels off without residue but holds extremely well and secure. Sadly the auto-sleep function doesn't work with the Aura One. If it were working, I'd hang on to my makeshift cover forever, as it is very, very sturdy.

There is another style on Amazon Germany, that might fit. It also comes in a gazillon of colours.

You can get iPad Mini covers very cheap on eBay and Amazon. On the other hand there will be dedicated Aura One covers available next week.

Thanks Poppaea--I really do like how your cover looks. Haven't pulled the trigger to purchase the A1 yet, but I imagine that I won't be able to resist for too much longer. If there aren't more options for A1 covers around by the time I order an A1, I very likely will go with your iPad Mini case mod.

We used to have the same taste (remember when we bought our Sonys?) and it looks like that didn't change at all.
