Getting updates - Win 64bit

Is there a way that if I am running Win64 version of Calibre, that when an update comes out it automatically takes me to the 64bit download instead of the 32bit.

I installed the 32bit 2x in a row without thinking. and switching to the 64bit download page is a bit awkward.

Maybe have both links on the same page? or something...

Thank you for an awesome program.

That is odd. I am on 64-bit Windows 10 and when use the link provided in the new release notification I get the 64-bit download page: https://calibre-ebook.com/download_windows64

You need to Uninstall the 32bit version completely. Calibre must be detecting remnants of a 32 bit install.

After the uninstall, go find the folder calibre2 in Program files (NOT Program files (x86) )

It should be missing or almost empty (1 or 2 files). It should NOW be safe to delete that

I click the 'new features' link, two reasons: a) forces me to read the release notes, b) gives me the option of downloading the portable version if I see something there I'm not sure about.

But normally I get the RSS notify first, which takes me to the What's New page.

The update notification always takes you to the version of calibre you are running. If you are running calibre portable it will take you to the portable page, if 64bit, the 64bit page and so on.
