So my custom KA1 case arrived today (pic), but still no reader :(

LOVE how my custom case turned out (this time I was on the ball and ordered the case early). But it totally sucks I have no KA1 reader to put in it.

Not sure what's worse, having a new case with no reader, or a new reader with no case *sigh*

UPDATE: I received the KA1 reader today and it fits in the case PERFECTLY!!!

The elastics do not cover the reading area nor does it cover the light sensor. The elastics are nice and firm holding it securely but flexible enough to easily slide my finger behind to reach the power button. I'm 100% thrilled with it. Now to order more styles so I can dress my kobo seasonally cause at this price (only $27 use) why not?

You can't beat the price $27 usd plus shipping. And lots of fabric to choose from. She custom made mine letting me choose outside/inside fabric and all elastic colors. I've had one of her cases on my Glo for 4 years now and have dropped it several times and it saved my kobo's life.

I've also spilled on it (coffee) and it's cleaned up nicely. Still looks brand new. It's not a sleep cover though but I don't like sleep covers (my preference).

Sounds even better - I don't like sleep covers either and turn that function off! Ooh I like the sound of custom made too and picking your own Gets better and better. Might treat my H20 to one.

The only issue is, at that price you tend to want a few to switch up styles. It's addicting dressing up your reader!

I am on the hunt for something cheaper than the official case, will be interested to hear how this one works out for you once you get your device.
I don't see a hole at the back to allow you access to the power button, I hope the elastic is a bit loose so you reach in with a finger between the cover back and the device to turn it on and off considering it isn't a sleep cover.

Nope. No hole. But I can guarantee the elastic will be flexible enough to reach in behind it.

Beautiful case! I ended up ordering a custom one from Etsy, it will be a few weeks before I get it. I'm excited to get a case with "personality".

I received Target gift card for my bday, so used it for a simple black case. They didn't have much of a variety and most of them were the kind with the plastic well, that was for the dimensions of the IPad Mini that was just an 1/8th of an inch too narrow. I finally settled on a Belkin that had an edge on one side and 2 rubbery holders for the corners of the left side that works. The case has a slightly rubbery feel, black with 2 grey stripes on the left front cover. It can be folded to different positions, one of the folds is a flip corner that allows easy access to the power button. (looking at the product info, the flip fold is for access to the IPad camera but works perfectly to access the power button on the One) I'll post a photo in a few minutes. It actually is a pretty nice case. So, I'll have a backup.

Post a pic with your reader in it, once it arrives.

The rubber bands look like they might obstruct the screen a bit.

I even have this problem on my H2O, but my case is only for transport, I don't use one for reading.
