Import book information by ISBN in a different language

Dear Calibre users,

I would like to take the advantage of "Add books → Add from ISBN" function. When I enter the ISBN 9785699496211, the necessary book is found, but all meta-information is imported in English however I would like to see it in Russian (as it was originally published). The link that Calibre generates opens a page which has original title and author ("Урфин Джюс и его деревянные солдаты", Александр Волков). How to configure Calibre to take information in given language?

Also I wonder if there is a possibility to scan ISBN bar code using USB Web Cam (bug#1502503)?

The first digit of an ISBN-10 is language of the book
for ISBN-13 it is the digit after 978

Then you need to setup a metadata download source that returns Russian results.

Thanks, I got it. Actually the metadata was downloaded from Amazon, but there was also a link 9785699496211 with Russian title, so I was confused why metainformation was not taken from there. Actually I wonder what is the name of the source "worldcat.org" in the list of sources?

I also have question for OZON.ru provider. Calibre finds correctly ISBN 9785699496211, but fails to find ISBN 9785170902675. To reproduce: leave only OZON.ru in the list Preferences → Metadata download and use 9785170902675 for search Add books → Add from ISBN.

I tried to locate litres.ru provider plugin, but failed. Is there any?

I dont maintain the ozon plugin, so I cant help you with that. worldcat.org is simply a site that catalogs books by isbn. It is not an actual metadata source, since the quality of metadata there is not very high.

@dma_k - queries about optional plugins should be posted in the relevant plugin thread, there is an index at the top of the Plugins subforum. Plugin developers are more likely to monitor their own threads for new requests and queries, rather than every new post across the entire Calibre forum.
