Footnote question Kobo Aura One

Ok. I've looked around for an answer so if it is something I've missed my apologies. While reading my H2O if I select a footnote I get a pop up window with the footnote and the option to "read more". I can easily make the pop-up window go away. While reading my Aura One if I select the same footnote it takes me to a page with all of the footnotes in the book in numerical order. I have to click the tiny footnote number to, usually, go back to the location in the book. Is this a setting that can be changed or a change in the firmware? I ask because I find the pop-up approach more focused and easy to use. Thanks. |

Are the two books in the same format? The H2O sounds lik you are reading a Kobo ePub (kepub); the second sounds like its an ePub that was sideloaded.

If you use Calibre with the Kobo Touch Extended driver to convert that epub to kepub on the fly while transferring it to your Aura One, footnotes should appear in a popup.

Just checked the book in the aura one is .kepub.epub. The book in the H2O is .kepub.epub. Is there a setting in the driver that I should check. Thanks for the help. |

Can't you also tap to bring up the menu and than pick previous location (bottom left of screen)? I'm going from memory, so I may be wrong.

Hopefully someone else can point out driver setting to check as that is a possibility too.

Thanks everyone. Not a big deal but certainly confusing.
