Ordered AURA ONE FROM kobo only!, Status is?
Who ordered the Aura one from Kobo directly and has got a shipped status? Or bonus got it today?

I'm in the US and ordered directly from Kobo on the 30th at 2 AM. Apparently, my order is being held up because somebody thought my address is a P.O. box. It is not, not even close. When I answered the CS email telling them this, I get an apparently computer generated email repeating that my order is now "in process" and allow 7-10 days for delivery. I answered again and asked for an explanation of why others in the US who ordered after I did have received their Auras today or received a notice that it shipped today. Again, I got the verbatiim email mentioned above.
Needless to say, I'm not happy with Kobo's customer care! |

I ordered on the 2nd. Nothing since the initial order email.
When I ordered Kobo said that the One would be available on Sept. 15th. But I saw a comment over on the order thread which said it takes 2 days after the Kobo is shipped before we will see a tracking email. If mine won't be shipped until the 15th (which I think is a good possibility) I might not see an email until the 17th. |

I ordered mine from the Kobo US site at 11:30 am CT on the 30th. I haven't heard anything since the initial order confirmation.

I'm new to Kobo.
Is ordering from them always like the five stages of grief? Denial: The email is in my spam folder, I know it is. Anger: No, it's not in the d_mn spam folder! Eighth frickin' time I've checked it in the last hour! Bargaining: Hello, CSS. Hi, yeah, it's me again. Can you please check on order number...just once more? I'll send you a MoonPie. Depression: Aaargh. Why? Acceptance: Maybe it will come next week, maybe. What was I going to do with $200 anyway; squander it on Kindle ebooks? |

You'd be better off ordering from Chapters. You pay less because of Chapters charges in CAD where Kobo charges in USD. Also, when I ordered my H2O, I received it in 4 or 5 days.

I pre-ordered the H2O from Kobo, and the One from Kobo. The experiences are night and day.
H2O- Got order confirmation email. That was it. Never got an email with any shipping information or that they had actually shipped it. It took several calls to CS to get a tracking number, the first two either lied or were just misinformed/uninformed about the process or the process was horribly documented in general on an internal level. Finally got a tracking number, only to find it was delivered as I was talking to the rep. One- got order confirmation, and a shipping info email which had a tracking number. Tracked it right away and it estimated deliver for the 8th before 10:30 am. I was a little disappointed it wasn't going to be here on the 6th, but I had a tracking number and I could see the progress it made on its trip. Flash forward to today, doorbell rings this morning, I rush to the door and it's my Kobo Aura One! I don't blame Kobo for the estimated arrival, that's on FedEx. Interesting thing though, the H2O took longer to get to NYC from Canada than the One did from Hong Kong. Only by a day or so, but still something I found amusing. I think Rakuten has stepped up and put some pressure on Kobo. The One is the first Kobo to feature the Rakuten (R)Kobo as opposed to just 'Kobo'. |

Ordered direct from KOBO USA on Monday 9:29 PST (Aug 29 which was 12:29 August 30 on East Coast) Only ordered the device. Order confirmation included the SKU on my model
Friday morning Sept 2 received shipping notification with tracking (FEDEX from HK) expected delivery Thursday Sept 8th before 4:30 pm. Friday night tracking showed Memphis, TN - Saturday afternoon showed Seattle Sorting center. Delivered today. Good first experience in dealing with direct order from Kobo USA. I've purchased 2 books previously from their store. |

I ordered from Chapters in Canada, had it exported to me here in Australia and it took less than a week. Flabbergasted!!! Also sorry to everyone waiting, it really was torture... but trust me, it's reception is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet...

Question:
No email again today (9/7). Logged into my newly minted RKobo account, created at the time of pre-ordering. Under purchase history... nothing? Is that for ebooks only? I'm finding it a little disturbing that I have an order number "confirmed" yet no way of checking the status of my order on their site. |
