Aura One numbers in right column
When reading ebook, there is occasional number in right column overlaying the last letter(s) of the line the number is next to.
What is this number and how can it be eliminated? Thanks! |

It's always been set in all Kobo f/w releases. And yes... it's presence has bitten me on at least one occasion

I get why it's there, I just wish it was disabled by default. Ebooks already have page numbers, I can't imagine the majority of people need the ADE numbers as well.

My ebooks don't have page numbers... But most of my ereaders can show some form of page number (or progress in percentage) at the bottom of the page (where a page number should be). I see that ADE number as a relic of the past that should have been removed ages ago.

I am correct--for epubs if you tell your Kobo to display page numbers for the entire book in the footer, it uses ADE page numbers? Which I would find preferable to displaying the numbers in the right margin.
Personally, I pretty much use KePubs and have the footer set to display page numbers for chapters, which actually displays the screen turns left in the chapter. |

The page numbers used on epub (if you aren't using a hack) are always ADE and for whole book and none of the settings will change that (except if you display it as a percentage which will be based on the whole book). |
