Calibre author list

Hey everyone,

I just got a Kogan Atlas tablet computer and installed Calibre to read my books on it. I'm used to Aldiko on Android which had all your authors listed and you were able to pick the author and then select the book you wanted, it also allowed for you to label the books however you wanted which i did so that they were in series order, is there some way of doing this on Calibre? i tried doing a metadata pegboard, but it didnt change anything to the look, and it would only do something when you transfer the books to another device. I dont really want to go through changing all the titles around to make them into series order.

You can choose the author, using the Tag Browser on the left side (or just searching for it). Same in the case of series. You can also add your own tags to label books.

You don't use metadata plugboards for that - just click on "Edit metadata". Or, even more simply, edit the data in the table view (click on the cell that you want to modify).
