Identify Jailbreak version installed on KT?

Hello, I've just got a 2nd hand Kindle Touch :

I noticed that the previous user had installed an old version of jailbreak with UI, collection manager and stuffs.
The problem is that the Kindle is not working properly (slow and even freeze sometimes). I guess it's because of some software conflicts and would like to reset it and reinstall newer jailbreak version.
I have contacted the previous user but he doesn't remember which jailbreak version he installed (it was ~4 years ago). In the "Device info" section it says:
Quote:
Firmware version: 5.1.2
JBPatch: 6/7 (2.4.1)
So is there anyway for me to uninstall JB and its related content (i.e factory reset) other than debricking?
.

The jail break CAN NOT be your problem.
The "stuffs" are not likely, but update them anyway.

The most likely source of your problem is an aging eMMC chip (one with bad erase blocks - - the flash storage version of sectors).

IF you try to re-write the image file, you are very likely to find the process will fail.
Leaving you a used screen to re-sell.

But if you feel you absolutely must re-install, use Kubrick (see sticky atop index page).

That means I should leave the software as it is now?

*Update: I found out that the Jailbreak was yifanlu's one. I can find the uninstall instruction on his website. However, do I have to uninstall mods like JBPatch or Collection manager, etc. separately before uninstalling the jail break itself?

That one is very old.
It is best to un-install it with its own un-installer.

Newer JB do not require un-installing the prior one.

Yes, it would be best in this particular case to un-install all add-ins that have an un-installer.

BEFORE doing anything at all to the set-up - - dump the system logs, read them to see if they identify the cause of the slow behavior (such as file system errors).
Main screen, search bar, enter:
;dm

THEN remove the contents of the /documents directory (in case it is the indexer that is causing the problems).
