Kobo Wireless n647 can't see books

Hi! I bought a couple of weeks ago a Kobo Wireless n647 and I cant seem to find the way to use it. I have uploaded PDF, EPU, DOC and TXT files and I keep getting the NO BOOKS FOUND sign. I asked Kobo and the told me that the reader only reads EPUB2 files but I've read that PDFs are supported as well. The question is: Does it have any software problem or do I have to find the way to convert any book I want to read to EPUB2?

Any help will be highly appreciated!

Those are in the DOCS. They are not under books.

On your home screen at the top there should be I'm reading.
Right below that you have
BOOKS●NEWS & MAGAZINES●DOCUMENTS●STORE

On the controller, push the up button until there is one line over books and one line under books. Now press the right side button. It should go straight to documents.
Press the middle button on the controller.

Then the down button to documents.
Press the middle button on the controller.

Or in the menu, make sure I'm reading is checked.

Hope all this helps.

Oh and we have a marvelous library here of public domain books.
Here is the epub library.

I'm reading
News & Mags
Documents

All these 3 options are unavailable as it seems (light grayed)
If I'm on Books and press down it takes me to Display

Odd.
Listen it is late but I will play with mine more tomorrow.
Though quick question:
How did you get these on your kobo?
What operating system on your computer?
And lastly did you safely eject when done?

This sounds like it's suffering from the problem described in https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=230628. If so, reimaging the internal SD card is the only known fix.

One quick question is where are you copying the files to in the Kobo's file system?

Try using Calibre to load your books. It knows exactly where to put them.

Potentially found the problem.
Do not put them in the root file.

Next time, plug in your kobo. Pick the files you want. Then right click and send to Kobo.
I don't use anything else but that is how I send files. Easy, simple and they go where they need to go.

Oh same principle applies for a kindle if you ever get one.

@Txuricata: You have missed telling us an important detail: What firmware version? And if the answer is "1.9.12", then please read my earlier post.
