Request: initial firmwares extracted from brand-new devices

A possible software-based jailbreak has been found, but we need the initial factory updates to use it.

Most urgently needed is the Oasis images, so maximum karma if you can get us one.

Can we put this (or something similar that does not break the "duplicate posts" rule) in the parent forum too?

Is it allowed to post a message as a quote with a simple wrapper comment (as seen above), for a rule-abiding semi-duplicate post? You know, a typical hacker workaround...

Although the information requested here is critical to the development of one of the two, it isn't a "Kindle main forum" topic.
Keep this request in one place, already even the people working on the downgrade attacks are getting confused.

Less than 24 hours.

One is ready to go as soon as the off-site recovery archivist can copy download links into the off-site resource listing.
When he says the listings are ready, it is ready for use.

The other one has only limited model coverage at the moment, but that is changing rapidly.

Maybe there should be a single index of the various current jailbreak methods we have too much stuff scattered around and we can't sticky all of it.

Maybe we need a "Master Sticky Index" sticky?

I like the idea of ONE sticky "jailbreak index" thread pointing to all the others (similar to my Master Index thread). The forum mods could keep the first post current. It should link to the jailbreak download posts too (for all the eink kindles). And maybe KUAL extensions too? A master resource for jailbreaking and the essentials, separate from the full Master Index (and only the essentials to keep it simple and easy to use).
