Death of William H. McNeill

I noticed that William H. McNeill passed away about a week and a half ago (for some reason it seems that the news was released in just the last two or three days).

Students of history will recognize that McNeill was a prolific author of history books (all or most dealing with western civilization) and was highly awarded.

Including Obama's award for providing validation/support for his world view.
