Kindle Library dissapeared
Hi everyone :-)

I have a nice collection of DRM free books on my Kindle Paperwhite (11) and I am reading a lot on it.

All of a sudden none of these books are showing up in my library but when I connect the device to my MacBook the calibre software does show all the books under "device" even those that are not in my calibre library (and do not have the green checkmark).
I have searched up and down the kindle settings and did not find a solution. I have also tried "update cached metadata on device" and that did not help.
Does anyone have an idea how I can get my books to reappear in the kindle library?

It sounds like you have a filter on. Sideloaded books are usually under Documents.

Unfortunately that is not the solution, all filters are off and in the filter settings it says "documents (0)"

The three folders that I have created to sort my books are still there, but they are empty.

Have you tried restarting the Kindle? That sometimes fixes odd problems.

Make sure Calibre isn't running and delete any calibre files on the Kindle and then run Calibre. There ought to be a "metadata.calibre" and "driveinfo.calibre"

Some more suggestions:

Look for the actual e-book files in the storage of the Kindle with it connected to a PC over USB to verify that they are actually still present there.

If all else fails try a factory reset and reload everything.
