E-Reader as Computer Monitor ?

Hi,

i have got a couple of ereaders, and one thing i have been wanting to do for a few years now , is to be able to use them as a secondary computer monitor

unfortunately, i have never had great results

i have been looking at the onyx boox max, as a solution, and also at the 2nd generation of dasung monitors

has anyone here have any experience using the onyx max as a second monitor, maybe with a video ?

or with the dasung 2nd gen ?

or anyone had any luck with another ereader ?

thanks !!!

(i've tried with the kindle dx, and onyx boox i86/m96, using a laptop, and also a rapsberry pi, both over wifi, and usb tethering, but it is always too laggy)

Not likely to work very well with an eReader
Can work with a tablet with a bit of playing around to get it set up
An iPad will work with Apple computers fairly well
A Windows tablet with a Windows 7, 8 or 10 operating system
It may be possible to get an Android tablet working with Windows computers

Try asking about tablets as a monitor on various computer forums

This is the best forum for eReaders, maybe someone here has tried though I have doubts that it is possible but there are some very clever people in this forum

Dasung

I bought the Dasung and have been using it off and on during June. It is very good for reading web pages. I have chronic migraine so I was hoping it would save me screen time but it really isn't good enough to do software development on. Even on the black and white mode it can't keep up with my typing speed. I'm glad I bought it though because I'm happy to support Dasung for doing this work and can't wait to see version 3.0.
