Does anyone still have the old default dictionary?
I came across a word usage that made me smile today, as it was not a sense of the word in question that I was familiar with. Oxford cleared up my confusion (sadly), but it made me wonder if the old default English dictionary would have done the same, or left me thinking the writing was half-baked

It has the French loaf and diamond cut definitions but not the purse one.

And it doesn't have the definition for the word as used in your book. Going off memory here but as I remember it, my mother had two baguette watches, one which was an elongated rectangular shape and another which was an elongated oval shape. Most of what I remember was that even for my much younger eyes at that time, those tiny little hands were hard to see.

Thank you. I knew the three meanings you have in the dictionary (Spanish woman, so French words are more known here), but not the meaning I think it's intended in the book: a kind of watch.
