Typing in the blind
Hello
When editing or typing new text into an ebook using the Calibre Editor, one thing I find frustrating is the way the cursor quickly ends up hard against the bottom of the screen. Then when you continue typing, the screen scrolls one line at a time. In certain circumstances, the cursor can end up off the screen. This forces me to constantly type-scroll, type-scroll. You have to admit this forces some bad behaviour. If I can compare it to driving with a blanket across your front windscreen, but then having perfect vision out the rear screen of the vehicle. I already know the text behind me, I want to see what is ahead. I have tried scroll lock, but it does not work with Calibre. Is there any possible way to lock the cursor to the centre of the editors screen? It allows me to see what is coming up- am I typing duplicate text, where do the html codes start and end, carriage returns etc Thank you. |

no there's no such feature in Qt and trying to implement my own on top of Qt would be a lot of work, patches are welcome.
