A nice journal
As an Egyptology student I get sent email about all manner of academic conferences and symposiums, but I was happy today to receive an invitation to a symposium called "Politeness in Ancient Societies" that's being organised by the "Journal for Politeness Research". I can't explain why, but I'm just happy to discover that there is such a journal. It must be a very nice, polite one, with no unseemly bickering on its letters page.

I must look on JSTOR (the academic journals repository I have access to via my university) and see if it's available there.

I also think the journal sounds delightful. I've got JSTOR access, so I'll have to take a look at it if it's there. Thanks for the heads up.

On the other hand, Harry, it could be quite shocking. Consider that journals related to health often discuss disease and injury. ... Just saying.
