Sideloading into iBooks help please, again
I've had this problem a couple of times before, but couldn't find the last thread I started to continue it.
I use a Windows 10 computer and an iPad using (I think) the latest OS. I design ebooks as a hobby, and side load them into several ereaders to test them before posting into the MR library. Several months ago I got help in this forum about a method of getting the ePubs into iBooks which involved - uploading the ePub file into Dropbox, - downloading from Dropbox onto my iPad, - selecting an icon with an upward pointing arrow, and - selecting copy to iBooks. I've used that method for months until a short time ago, but this evening it wouldn't work. There is no icon with an upward pointing arrow, though there is an icon with an arrow pointing down. Have things changed with the latest OS? How can I get my ePubs into iBooks? I know it is not the fault of the ebook; I've successfully loaded it into Bookari on my iPad, and to my Sony, Kobo, and android tablet and it works well on all of them. |

Dropbox changed their interface (and made it more confusing IMO). Select the three dots, which will bring up a sub-menu that has the icon with the up arrow with the label "Share." You can also select "Share" by selecting the triangle next to the file name.

Done. Thanks so much; the thought that it might be a Dropbox problem never crossed my mind.

Ha! Looks like we weren't the only ones who missed the up-arrow icon. Dropbox just put it back in the main menu with 10.2.2!

I find it easier to just drag and drop onto the "Books" tab of the iPad connection in iTunes.

I've never personally found that to be a problem.
