Content server on Raspberry Pi. Move database error
Hi all,
I am running (or was) a content server on my raspberry pi for my paltry number of ebooks. I had to move the library as an external drive failed and so now it doesn't work. The only clue I have is int he server_error_log.txt is the last line as shown below OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/media/Books/metadata.db' That is the old location but I don't know where it is getting this from as my process is running successfully under the new path .... as mentioned earlier this is on a raspberry pi so i'm only running calibre-server not the full software so I don't know what i can do with this. HELP!! ![]() ![]() Oh and hi, i'm new to the forums :-) |

If you've moved the library, you need to change the calibre-server command line arguments from
Code:
--with-library=/media/Books/ Code:
--with-library=/path/to/new/library/ |

The (hidden) user configuration folder? (contains the last Library used)
or you could use the command line option --with_library <path> |

Thanks, but as mentioned my process is running (through systemd script) with the new path using that parameter .... or do I need to run it manually. I have made sure the correct user has permissions to it also.

"my process is running successfully under the new path" was not entirely clear to me, especially as you first said that it wasn't working successfully at all...
What happens when you try to access the Content Server? |

Hey all, problem solved.... turns out I had a line in cron rebooting and running the process with the old library path .... removed that, rebooted the PI and viola, content! yay
and eschwartz sorry i was a bit vague, if I open the web page i'd get lots of errors on the page in the calibre frame. if i connected using hte calibre app on my phone it would give me a server 500 error if i tried to open metadata or download a book. Odd. |
