MicroSD impossible to remove
I have a huge problem concerning my Kobo Aura (not HD), when I bought it few months ago I inserted a micro SD card inside, but since then I can't remove it at all, no matter what I try...
I can see it is not stuck, it's moving a bit, but it seems that there is no mechanism to eject it... And because nothing goes out I have no way of grabbing it. If anyone has a solution for that, that would make me extremely happy! ![]() |

You don't pull it out, you push it in, and the spring mechanism then pushes it out enough to grab. You might need to use a strong fingernail or the corner of a credit card to push it.

Find someone's fingernail (or look on the floor).
Use that fingernail to PUSH in the SD card. As you drop the fingernail back onto the floor, the SD card will emerge slightly - like a turtle testing its environment. At that point, locate two small fingers (or a finger and a thumb)* and PULL the SD card out! NEXT QUESTION, PLEASE. * = It is always best to find living tissue, rather than something belonging to an undead zombie. |

Your card is working? If not, then:
Maybe you miss the slot and insert the card above of it on the empty space between the slot and device case? In that case you need a small hairgrip to pull the card out and inserting again (in the correct place this time...) After that, the only way to remove the card is to push it in. ok. If the microSD card is a shorter card and there is not a "lip" protruding beyond the ereader device.. find a solid object tweezer, flat head micro screwdriver and PUSH the microSD card in further to activate the spring loaded mechanism. That will engage the spring to eject the card.
Good Luck. |

I need a bit of a plastic card or USB cable to reach the microsd in my H2O... my fingernails are just too short to handle both the card and the waterproof hatch the cardslot is hidden in.
If it doesn't click and spring out right away though, don't forcefully push it even further in... the eject mechanism is very easy going, if that doesn't work it's stuck for good and you have to pull, not push... |

If a side or corner is hung-up, you could try moving the card right-left-up-down by poking at the sides with a toothpick.

Just a late update on this issue, thank you all for your advice, but as I was explaining, the problem I had was that no matter how or where or with what I pushed the microSD card, I didn't go out, the eject mechanism seemed stuck...
The only solution I found was to grab the very tip of the card with a small but strong tweezer, and pull it all the way out... I tried again few time with other cards but had to do the same operation again. I guess the ejection mechanism didn't work since the beginning. |
