Page Mark on Kobo iPad App

How do you page mark on the iPad Kobo app?

Also, how do you do a search? And any idea why the iPhone app shows chapters but the iPod app only shows Parts but not the chapters. Not a big problem since most books consist of just chapters but the book I'm reading now has parts each one of which has numerous chapters.

Tapping the top-right corner of the screen when the menu is not displaeyed adds a "dog-ear" bookmark to the page. Is that what you mean?

Selecting a word pops up a menu. One of the items is a magnifying glass and tapping that starts a search using the selection. If you don't want to start with a selection, tap the middle of the page to bring up the top menu and tap the magnifying glass to start a search.

Sorry, don't have am iPhone, so I can't compare. But, I have never had any issues with the iPad app, the Android app or the Kobo devices showing different things in their contents lists. Whenever I have compared them, they have always been the same.

I tap a word and that just makes the Facebook symbol and the flag appear on the top right of the page and the list of utilities appear on the bottom right.

I did find the chapter list. It's at the beginning of the book but I tap a chapter and it doesn't take to that chapter but again makes the Facebook symbol appear along with the list of utilities.

I don't know what is happening them because it definitely works that way here.

I "select", not tap. Choose a word and hold your finger on until the selecting marks come up. The lift your finger. A tool bar should appear above near the word with several icons including the the search icon.

That's an in-book table of contents. Usually they are links to other parts of the book, but maybe whoever created the book you are reading might not have done this. The ePub ToC should be access from the top menu. There icon of interest is three horizontal lines. Tapping that displays a popup with the ToC, overview, annotation and stats.
