Metadata edits not transferring to Kindle Paparwhite
Hi everyone!
I'm writing here because I have a problem with the metadata transferring to my Kindle Paperwhite: every time I click "send to device" to send the edited metadata on my Kindle, they appear but they're still the old unmodified ones. I've already tried re-converting all of them from MOBI to MOBI and using the metadata plugboard, both to no avail. Can someone help me, please? I don't know what to do anymore, any suggestion is very welcome ![]() Thank you very much ![]() |

Perhaps you're using "Dual Mobi" format? Calibre cannot change the metadata of a book in such a format. Use "old" Mobi or AZW3 and it'll work fine.

Hi!
Thank you for your reply ^^ I tried changing the format to AZW3 and then edit the metadata, but when I send to device they go back to the unmodified version and only the format remains the new one. I also checked if I was using Dual Mobi instead of the "old" Mobi: in the possible output formats I only found Mobi, so I suppose I'm not using Dual Mobi. Any other suggestions? ^^" Thank you again ^^ |

Are you sure that you actually sent the AZW3 format and not the Mobi format to your Kindle? If a book has both Mobi and AZW3 formats available, by default Calibre will send the Mobi version.
To set the Mobi output format go to "Preferences / Output Options / Mobi", and change the "Mobi file type" drop-down option. |

I checked the format of the sent files and it was indeed the AZW3 one.
As for the Mobi, the "Mobi file type" is already set on "old" |
