I can't even get started

I just downloaded caliber (for Windows) to manage my Kindle Fire HD content as well as what is stored in my amazon account. I plugged in my kindle to my desktop and Jobs started. It gets almost finished and I get an error message that it cannot write to file..so it is done. I have shut off my anti virus and rebooted but no improvement. Very frustrated.
Any advice? Thank you.

Please use "Copy to clipboard" and paste the actual error message here.

Without more details we cannot be sure. However, Android devices use MTP to communicate, which is known to not be the most reliable protocol. It sounds like that may have failed on you -- one common fix is to reset the device.
