how to move Calibre from old computer to new?

Hi there,

This may be a trivial question, but I just spent 2 hours searching for the answer

Just bought a new Win 10 system to replace my old Win 8. How do I move my whole Calibre library over to the new machine?

Just copy the library (the directory) to the new computer and choose 'add the library' with Calibre. That should do it.

That process copies the current library AND the configuration data - global settings, plugins, resource overrides, personal dictionaries etc etc.

Some plugin preferences are stored in the library database, but the plugins themselves are in the configuration folder.
