Book is unavailable for download - why?

Today I ordered a book from Amazon, the Kindle Edition of At the Crossroads of Science & Mysticism, and when I tried as usual to download the item to my Kindle PW2, I got the following message: "At the Crossroads.... The item is not compatible with this device." It is called a Print Replica.

No problems downloading it to my iPad, however.

I didn't know about this limitation before now. Has anybody more knowledge about it, or some comments about it?

Been that way for a long time.
Print Replica usually means things like textbooks.

On the product page, it will say "Only available for certain devices". You shouldn't be able to directly purchase it from the PW's integrated Kindle Store interface.

Oh, thanks. I see that now: It says so on the Amazon page. I bought it from a PC. And I will be able to read it on my Kindle app on my iPad.

Additional fun fact:

Print Replica (also known as AZW4) is a PDF under the hood, but wrapped in Amazon's usual Palm database format.
KindleUnpack can be used to extract the PDF.
