My wish list:
1) Folder structure and the option to use folders in folders and the possibility to use Window's explorer to drag and drop books 2) Adjusting my home screen to my needs. Now I just turned it off with the most recent firmware 3) I would like to use epub because I prefer this over mobi or azw3. At the moment I convert only epub to mobi (I can use azw3, but the fonts are not always changing with this extension, perhaps due to errors in the original epub) |

1) Folder structure isn't very useful compared to collections.
Although there is a definite use for managing collections via the desktop. Speaking of which, have you seen Ixtab's Collections Manager (kindlet), or barsanuphe's LibrarianSync (KUAL extension)? They even integrate into calibre. 2) What exactly do you mean by that? Aren't you adjusting it to suit your needs right now, by turning off a feature you dislike? 3) Lots and lots of people successfully convert EPUB to AZW3 and preserver their fonts. MOBI on the other hand does not support embedded fonts at all. You can try our Fonts hack, or ask in the calibre forums why your fonts aren't converting, but I highly doubt Amazon would have gone to all the effort of developing the mobipocket formats if they were going to then ditch it for EPUB. |

It's fun the accuse Amazon of trying to build device lock in with file format. But the real problem with Epub is the complete lack of real standardization.
There is no way Amazon is going to license software from, or bow to limitation from Adobe. And for this, I applaud them. That's a big reason why Amazon software is always so far ahead of the competition. However, if Amazon were ever to indicate support for epub in any way, they would be flooded with customer complaints that they bought an "epub" from (Kobo, B&N, Apple, Google any number of other e-book retail operation that sells Adobe DRM'ed books.) and could not load on their Kindle. |

How about reading statistics? Can't believe this isn't a feature already for personal documents. Would love to see my accumulated reading time and time spent reading each day.

And I and many others consider that to be worthless information and a tragic waste of even a single processing cycle, let alone many cycles.
Ultimately, Amazon adds features they think will sell more Kindles. |

I'll go add my wish to have the book-length dots returned! (Not that I've gotten the update that removes them yet, but I'll miss them when it gets to me.) Or at least, book-length before I even open the book, displayed to me in SOME format.

I would go with user configurable margins & line-height as well as the ability for users to side-load fonts and an advanced font control to allow changing the weight of fonts. Might as well go for more font sizes as well.

I would go with more font sizes. It goes from sortof larger to huge and I need something in between. Whatever happened to the gradual increase?

- Dots, but still keeping percentage (best of two worlds hehehehe), or the option to choose between them
- Togle to turn the front light off - Would REALLY like more font options (customs, size, weight, etc) and deeper margins and line spacing controls, like in Kobo or Koreader - Option to reset the auto bright settings in Kindle Voyage. - Personal screensavers Practically everything we can do nowadays thanks to jailbreak and koreader gods! And last, but not least, regarding Kindle Touch: native TTS in Spanish! Oh, well, one can dream, right? |
