Auto-numbering question

I love and often use the auto-numbering function. I can often manage to modify or work around anything else I might need, as long as it starts with the number 1.

It is nothing I NEED, but if anyone can point me in the right direction of changing the starting number of the auto-numbering function, I would appreciate it very much. Let me know if you need an example, but I didn't think it was necessary...

It is also fine if I'm told it can't be done, and I will know for future reference

By auto numbering you mean bulk rename of files? The dialog box for that comes with a setting to set the starting number. Or you mean something else?

No, sorry. I rambled in my original post and when I edited it, I deleted important information. This is using the Regex-Function, Number Sequence.

Change

section_number = '%d. ' % number

to

section_number = '%d. ' % (number + 2)

replace 2 with whatever start number you need.
